We try Iberian porn with tagliatelle’s (11/10)!!! Skirt Steak (8/10) over coocked for me! Open potato it’s not like Spain but it’s a good plate!
Saganaki was outstanding too (10/10), then kleftiko it’s lamp we didn’t like it (5/10) and in the end ekmek with tsoureki it was a traditional kostantinoupolis sweet a must try dish (11/10)!!! A very good place to visit thanks for everything! I have foto only from the sweet sorry..

A True Mykonos Treasure - Authentic Greek Cuisine Done Right

We discovered this gem slightly off the main tourist path near Mykonos center, and it turned out to be the culinary highlight of our entire trip. After reading reviews praising it as a local favorite, we decided to trust the owner's recommendations - a decision we're so glad we made.

What We Ordered:

Beef Croquette - Slow-cooked meat with marinated cherry tomatoes and graviera cheese cream. The meat was fall-apart tender, perfectly complemented by the rich, creamy graviera.

Saganaki Feta Cheese - Served with walnuts, honey syrup infused with orange and saffron. The combination of warm, melting feta with the aromatic honey was divine.

Cretan Dakos - Barley rusk topped with cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, and Tsalafouti cheese. Even my husband, who typically avoids tomatoes, couldn't stop eating this. The textures and freshness were outstanding.

Greek Iberico with Pasta - Paccheri pasta with soy and honey sauce, parmesan cream. The pork was so tender it melted in your mouth, and the al dente paccheri paired beautifully with the sweet-savory sauce. Genuinely one of the finest pasta dishes I've had.

I attempted to photograph everything, but once I tasted the first bite, I was too captivated to remember my camera existed.

The atmosphere is charming and authentic, the service attentive, and the value exceptional - especially for Mykonos.

By far the best food we have had in Greece. The staff was so helpful and friendly, and guided us in our menu selection. We ate the pork gyros and the moussaka, and cleaned our plates! Followed by a chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream! Casual vibes, and definitely feels like a local favorite. A short walk from the Aeolos Resort, for those who do not want to venture back to Old Town!

A true hidden gem in Mykonos! Mortissa offers real Greek flavors in a cozy, welcoming setting that feels more like someone's home than a restaurant. During our vacations we just come back to this place twice in a row! What a lovely and comfy experience. The food is really good and taste just like homemade. First time we had the Croquettes (Amazing, they are a MUST in this place), the wine leaves, and the Super Bass fish (fresh and very tasty). The second time we repeat the Croquestes, and try the lamb with smashed egg plant (smoked and tasty) and the Octopus with a a nice salad with onion and zucchini (lime touch, very elegant flavor); the dish was exceptionally well-prepared and enjoyable. The octopus was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, with complementary ingredients served with an excellent presentation. The salads' ingredients enhance the octopus, not overpower it. REALLY GOOD. The deserts are ok, nothing special, but I would like to highlight the Melon with the Greek icecream, very interesting flavor combination.
To summ up, the cuisine of this restaurant uses fresh and seasonal ingredients simply prepared in a traditional geeek way, such as grilled, baked, or fried, allowing the natural flavors of the island to come right to you. The servide was really nice (thanks Alex for all the recommendations, he really guide us through the whole menu), and the vibe of the place is very warm surrounded by friendly greek people and also nice traditional greek music. Fairly priced. We definitely come back.

Our driver told us to come here when Kiki’s was a 2+ hour wait. He said it’s where all the locals go and that it’s delicious and best food on the island. AND HE DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! WOWWWW I seriously don’t have enough great things to say. The croquettes and greek iberico pasta are TO DIE FOR. Everything was truly fantastic. The service was friendly, welcoming, and generous. We are absolutely thrilled to have found this gem.

Absolutely the Best Meal I Had in Mykonos!

Mortissa is a hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome - warm, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what they do. The food? Unbelievable. Every dish was packed with authentic flavor and clearly made with care. If you're looking for real traditional Greek cuisine (not the watered-down version served to tourists), this is the place to go. On top of that, the atmosphere is super charming - cozy, stylish, and full of character. Easily one of the highlights of my trip!

The food was absolutely wonderful! Every dish bursting with flavor, freshness, and that homemade touch that makes you want to come back the very next day. The service was impeccable: the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home.

We had a great time here with the family. Staff very helpful and welcoming, service is fast and food fresh and delicious. The Greek Ibérico with pasta is a standout—pappardelle topped with melt-in-your-mouth Ibérico pork in a rich dark beer and honey sauce, finished with a sharp Parmesan, the best option!! Highly recommend!

Πεντανόστιμο φαγητό, ότι πήραμε ήταν εξαιρετικό! Το λαβράκι πρέπει να το δοκιμάσετε οπωσδήποτε. Τα παιδιά στο σέρβις ευγενικά κ πρόθυμοι να εξηγήσουν τα πάντα. Επίσης είναι οικονομικό, σίγουρα τιμές του δεν είναι Μυκόνου.

Very good food at reasonable prices for Mykonos!
Mortissa has a nice atmosphere, kind staff and homemade flavors that remind you of your mother's cooking. We tried dako, lamb chops, saganaki and kontosouvli .. all delicious and filling.
Ideal hangout for seasonal people or for those who want good food without paying exorbitant prices. We will definitely go back!

Από τις καλυτερες ταβέρνες που έχω φάει εγώ και η οικογένειά μου. Το φαγητό απίστευτο με πολύ λογικές τιμές, ειδικά για Μυκονο, το σέρβις εξαιρετικό και καθ' όλη την διάρκεια του δείπνου έπαιζαν ωραία λαϊκα-ρεμπετικα τραγούδια. Οι κροκέτες με μοσχάρι και τα τηγανητά κολοκυθάκια ήταν πολύ καλή επιλογή για ορεκτικά, ενώ τα κυρίως πιάτα-κρέατα ήταν όλα άψογα, φρέσκα και ζούμερα. Το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα για οποιονδήποτε επιθυμεί να επισκεφτεί την Μύκονο.

Went from a recommendation from a good friend and the food was amazing! Authentic Greek food. They had a menu with several options as well as a display cabinet with daily specials which was great for younger picky eaters. Definitely a must stop while in town.

If you are a tourist (or a local) you must definitely try this spot. It is literally perfect, the atmosphere is spiritual, and the staff are the best you will ever meet. Please make your way to Mortissa, I promise you will not regret it. Special shout out to Alex & Klodjan.

Alex and Klodjan were absolutely amazing!! We just happened to stumble across this place and were absolutely blown away. Food, service, vibe, everything was just so so good. Unser Lieblingsrestaurant im Urlaub!

Hier haben wir unseren absoluten Lieblingsort zum Essen gefunden. Der Geschmack des Essens war einfach nur hervorragend – jedes Gericht war ein echtes Highlight. Die Qualität der Speisen sowie die Präsentation auf den Tellern waren perfekt, und man merkt sofort, dass hier mit viel Liebe gekocht wird.

Der Service ist außergewöhnlich freundlich und aufmerksam. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Die Ausstattung des Restaurants ist eher schlicht aber absolut sauber.

Zwar gibt es keine besondere Aussicht, aber wer – so wie wir – vor allem Wert auf ausgezeichnetes Essen legt, ist hier genau richtig. Für uns war das Essen exzellent, die Bedienung herzlich, und das Gesamtpaket einfach stimmig und preiswert.

Wir waren während unseres Urlaubs gleich mehrfach hier essen – und jedes Mal begeistert. Ganz klar: unser Lieblingsrestaurant!

Not far from the chaos of the main road we found this quiet and beautiful tavern, where you can finally eat good fish at reasonable prices (and definitely below the average of the restaurants in Mykonos).
We had a great time and we came back several times to eat the delicious seabass (sea bass) with vegetables accompanied by delicious homemade chips.
The guys on the staff were all extremely kind and friendly.
As said, the quality-price ratio was excellent, the only thing with an unreasonable cost was the sparkling water (7.50 € for 750ml).
Definitely our best dinners in Mykonos.

Absolutely recommended!
When we arrived in Mykonos, we immediately grabbed a car and drove to the hotel. Suddenly, the smell was so incredibly delicious that we spontaneously decided to stop for a quick bite – and it was the best decision!
Super friendly guys, extremely fresh and delicious food, perfect English, and simply the best Greek cuisine we had the pleasure of enjoying during our entire stay in Mykonos.

Una auténtica joya para los amantes de la comida griega. Cada plato estaba lleno de sabor, preparado con ingredientes frescos y ese toque casero que te transporta directamente a una taberna en el Mediterráneo.

Pero lo que realmente hizo que la experiencia fuera inolvidable fue el trato del personal. Álex y Elton nos atendieron con una amabilidad y profesionalismo que se agradecen muchísimo. Atentos en todo momento, cercanos sin ser invasivos, y siempre con una sonrisa. Se nota que disfrutan lo que hacen, y eso se transmite al ambiente.

Sin duda, un lugar al que volveremos. ¡Altamente recomendado!

The typical Greek food was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was exquisite from Alex and Elton, the waiters who served us. The staff is generally super friendly. The restaurant has a parking area. The bathrooms are very clean, and a very welcome touch is the complimentary feminine hygiene products. It's a bit far from the center, but it's well worth a visit, both for the service and the food. The place and atmosphere are very pleasant. 100% recommended.

Καλησπέρα!!!Να ξεκινήσω με το ότι το μαγαζί είναι ότι πιο όμορφο και φιλόξενο έχω συναντήσει στην Μύκονο.Παμε στο προσωπικό το οποίο θα πω ότι ήταν πολύ ευγενικό και πολύ ευδιάθετο σε όλους τους τομείς και τώρα πάμε στα βασικά στο ΦΑΓΗΤΌ τι να πρώτο πω όλα ένα προς ένα τα πιάτα που φάγαμε ήταν με άριστα το 10 εγώ θα πω ότι ήταν 10'''' όλα προσεγμένα γεύσεις μοναδικές όλα τα πιάτα θύμιζαν ΜΑΜΑ με διάφορα το πιατο μαύρος χοίρος αυτό το πιάτο θυμηθείτε με και παραγγείλτε το να το δοκιμάσετε δεν θα χάσετε δεν ξέρω τι άλλο να πω αλήθεια έχω πάθει σοκ που υπάρχη αυτό το φαγητό στην Μύκονο και σε τέτοιες τιμές μπράβο στην ομάδα εύχομαι να συνεχίσετε έτσι να μην αλλάξετε τπτ και δεν πιστεύω πως θα χάσετε 🙏 εμείς τουλάχιστον το κλείσαμε θα γίνει το στέκι μας είμαστε σεζονίτες και ξέρουμε πως θα τρώμε καλά για όσο καιρό είμαστε μακριά από το σπίτι μας χίλια μπράβο μέσα από την καρδιά μας ❤️

Incredible!! A restaurant not to be missed! Our taxi driver recommended it as a must try authentic Greek restaurant and it did not disappoint! The service was exceptional, and the food was simply outstanding! I had the best pasta dish with pork and honey which the waiter recommended and it was one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had! My wife and I had a GREAT experience here. We tried the beef croquettes, prosciutto and pear salad and the Ibérico pasta (Greek Ibérico). Michaela and Alex recommended the croquettes and pasta and both were incredible. You should definitely try this place if you’re in Mykonos and like traditional Greek food.

Στη Μύκονο δεν γίνεται να μην φας καλά! Και ομως γίνεται!! Ωραίο περιβάλλον και αρκετά παραδοσιακό αλλά υπολείπεται σημαντικά γεύσεων και ποιότητας. Το πιάτο με το χταπόδι ήταν κάτω του μετρίου, κοτόπουλο κοντοσούβλι δεν είχε σωστά μπαχαρικά και δεν ήταν ζουμερό, σαλάτες μέτριες εκτός του ντάκου που ήταν εξαιρετικός. Πέντε άτομα 170€ χωρίς κρασί.

Michaela and Klaudi are such lovely servers! They were very helpful in recommending dishes and were so pleasant and happy throughout our whole dinner. They also both came to ask if we enjoyed our meal and were very attentive! Very nice and professional workers. We ordered the Greek Iberico with Pasta which they did warn us is very sweet from the honey. This dish on its own is very sweet. However, paired with the beef strip was very good because it was salty. Amazing service and yummy food! Michaela also took the time to make recommendations of places to go and explore which was very thoughtful!

Lovely place. Amazing food. Very friendly staff. Many vegetarian options available on the menu. I ordered a dish which was an eggplant stuffed with vegetables. This dish was not available anymore but the restaurant was kind enough to offer an alternative here with bell peppers and tomatoes stuffed with the traditional rice from Greece. The best part of the dish were the potatoes ❤️ In the end, we were served some Mastika, which was delicious.

Great atmosphere and incredible food! We ordered the zucchini as an appetizer along with the lamb dish of the day and chicken breast on a skewer. The house wine was a great value, and there was more value than the island. Raphael was very pleasant! We would definitely go back if returning to Mykonos.

Too bad you can't give more than 5 stars 🤦🏻‍♂️. This was the restaurant of choice on our penultimate day of vacation... It is 5 minutes from the port by car or 20 minutes on foot. Exquisite flavor, abundant portions, beautiful presentation and unsurpassed service. All for a ridiculous price for the quality they provide. We didn't have to look for anything else (we returned the next day).

They told us to sit where we wanted and gave us the menu they didnt had any menus in english but Rafhael was so petince and helpful gave us recomendtions and helped ua chose the curses

Very warm welcome, a warm atmosphere with smiling and lively servers, always attentive! The toasted tomatoes were excellent as was the fried feta with honey and not to mention the perfect cooking of the octopus. Mortissa was an absolute gem in Mykonos! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a charming, authentic feel that made the whole experience even more special. We were looking for a restaurant different from the ones near the old port (which are beautiful, dont get me wrong) and we found the PERFECT one.
This hidden gem in the middle of mykonos is just the place to go.
When we came in we were approached by the host who was the most friendly and helpful.
Very varied menu. But what made this experience as wonderful as it was, was that all the food we ordered, tasted like home. I actually said it felt it was made with love like grandma food.
The salad took my words. And all the food were generous and delicious.
We were so full we didnt order dessert but the host brought us some mosaik and it was delicious.
You cannot go to mykonos and not eat here.

From the second I stepped through the door I was welcomed with open arms. It’s something special when you can open up with the staff and speak about life; about theirs and yours as well. The food was outstanding as well. Incredibly fresh. I also liked that this restaurant was less touristy and not too far away from the main town center which means no price gouging and AUTHENTIC.

Loved itttt came with 11 friends during the off season and the food was fantastic!! The service was impeccable! Nikos was amazing and very attentive to our table. Food here is absolutely delicious. Every single dish tasted so fresh and amazing. We came to Mykonos in the off-season so the fact this restaurant is opened those months tells you how authentic it actually is. Highly recommend it to anyone!!

What can I say, a delight!
Came here on a recommendation, and was blown away by how fantastic it was!
The fried zucchini starter was a deliciously fried way to start, combined with its creamy creamy tzatziki, really awoken my taste buds.
But the main, oh the main, was the absolute superstar…nay the rockstar of the dining experience. It is worthy of all caps, the GREEK IBERICO WITH PASTA. This dish spoke to me in a way only a lover would understand. At its base a generous serving of fresh pappardelle, fat and meaty as it should be. On top an almost-brisket style of Ibérico melt-in-your-mouth meat, deliciously drowned in a dark beer and honey sauce. Then topped with a sharp and refined Parmesan. This dish was perfectly balanced, like a love child of sweet and meat, ufff my mouth waters.
Go there!
You will not be disappointed.

Very good place for traditional local food. The food was very delicious and the waiter was very attentive and friendly. We ate a main dish of the day, a meat pie and a salad to share between 4. They treated us to a shot and dessert. I recommend it without a doubt.

What food, what attention and what a good atmosphere!! This restaurant is the perfect example of traditional Greek food, with good food, generous portions and a shot on the house at the end. The dishes came quickly, it's a shame not to have photos because as they arrived we realized how good they looked, as well as the flavor. I recommend the lamb chops, meat pie and veal with leeks and lemon.

If you haven't tried mastika yet, try this smooth Greek liquor also known as the alcohol of the gods extracted from a tree on the Greek island of Chios.

Best food ever!!! A Greek friend recommend this restaurant and decided to give it a try. I am so glad we did. George our waiter gives a top notch service. We ate twice at this restaurant and it was delicious! Quite a lot of choice and typical dishes and the prices are normal compared to those in the city center which are really excessive! The servers are very nice and the portions are generous!

Stumbled across this place and what a find. Great food cooked with local ingredients. Tradional cuisine but with an interesting modern twist.
